Welcome to Kristin Dickel's ET610 - Curricular Applications of Technology website, Lesson Redesign and blogs. This website was created as a project for my Master's degree program at Loyola University in Educational Technology.
About me: I am a Health and Physical Education Teacher at Long Reach High School, a school in the Howard County Public School System. I previously taught Health, Physical Education and Driver's Education at McLean High School, McLean, VA in Fairfax County Public Schools.
There are two main purposes of this website.
The first, is to help you understand Thinglink. Thinglink is a wonderful K-12 technology. On the "Technology Review- Overview", click to read about Thinglink, view a video tutorial, see how you could use Thinglink in your classroom and much more. I think this is a great technology and best of all, it is free! I also use Thinglink for my Lesson Redesign.
The other purpose is to infuse technology into a previously teacher-centered instructional lesson. Through the addition of technology, the lesson is transformed into a student-centered lesson driven that allows for new learning and products to be generated.
If you have comments, feel free to post them on the blogs. There is one specifically for the Thinglink blog and one for my lesson redesign.
