So, now you know how it works, you may want some other ways to use Edmodo
The video tutorial really does go into lots of details of how you can use Edmodo. The ability to give quizzes, share resources, and communicate with students is made easy with Edmodo. I use it to send out homework reminders, homework worksheets or notifications of what was going on in class. This really makes it easy for students who are absent from class to stay up to date. Students can decide to get alerts sent via text message or e-mail which I think is a great feature. It is really easy to help students with log-in information as well. I really love Edmodo as my way to communicate with students. It also allows students to work with their classmates and post to their classmates.

This is a screen shot from 2 posts I made for my students. The first, I have scanned and uploaded textbook pages for my students. In health class, our students do not have a textbook that goes home with them. We scan textbook pages so if a students needs more time to complete and in-class assignment or they were absent, they can finish it at home and not stay with me after school using the classroom textbooks. The other post is where I posted a link for my students to complete a Google Form. I used it as a pre-assessment tool to see what my students knew about alcohol, tobacco and other drugs before we started the unit. Students were able to complete the quiz before coming to class and I already had a good idea as to what I should focus on in my unit.
